A GREAT day of TROUT Fishing, Eagle Nest Lake New Mexico!

Описание: The last 3 years have kept me from a good fishing buddy and someone who I consider a real friend Ron Sedall!

For nearly a decade now, we have landed monsters, battled wind & rain, shared some pretty epic backcountry meals and had the opportunity to share some once in a lifetime events in the outdoors.
This day was no different… This was our day fishing Trout at Eagle Nest Lake.

We left the house around 8am, reached the launch, put the raft in and headed out roughly an hour later. The daily high temperature would be be 75* and a fair chance of rain in the afternoon, so we didn’t waste anytime.

The time out on the water was excellent.
It has been three years since I held a fly rod but I came back quickly. (I am no pro)

Refreshing my fly fishing skill, Ron had be back to fishing flipping fish left and right! Tons of trout, big & small and all fighters.

The afternoon winds started picking up as the storm started to build over the mountain tops. Ron made the call and we headed in.

That day out on the water was long over due for two old friends to reconnect… yet, we almost in the fashion we had not missed a moment of absence from the lockdowns of Covid.
