It thrived under the Gupta Dynasty, with subjects like Mathematics, Medicine, Philosophy, and Astronomy being taught.

🔥 But in 1193 AD, Muhammad bin Bakhtiyar Khilji’s invasion reduced its legendary DharmaGanj library to ashes, marking the tragic end of a golden era. Yet, Nalanda’s story didn’t end there! Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site (2016), it is now reborn as Modern Nalanda University, aiming to restore India’s lost academic glory.

1,500 साल पहले बिहार, भारत में स्थापित नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय दुनिया का पहला आवासीय विश्वविद्यालय था, जहाँ चीन, जापान, कोरिया, इंडोनेशिया, फारस और तुर्की से विद्वान अध्ययन करने आते थे। यह गुप्त वंश के शासन में फला-फूला, जहाँ गणित, चिकित्सा, दर्शन और खगोलशास्त्र जैसे विषय पढ़ाए जाते थे।

🔥 लेकिन 1193 ईस्वी में, मुहम्मद बिन बख्तियार खिलजी के आक्रमण ने धर्मगंज पुस्तकालय को जलाकर राख कर दिया, जिससे एक स्वर्णिम युग का अंत हो गया। लेकिन नालंदा की कहानी यहीं खत्म नहीं हुई! 2016 में यूनेस्को विश्व धरोहर स्थल घोषित होकर, यह आज आधुनिक नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय के रूप में पुनर्जीवित हुआ है, जो भारत की खोई हुई शैक्षिक महिमा को फिर से स्थापित करने का प्रयास कर रहा है।
