[No tart pan] Apricot tart~* : Cho's daily cook
Today, I baked Tart without using tart pan~^^
I have noticed that many of you guys have an oven but have no tart pan.
So I am going to introduce how to bake a tart without tart pan~^^
I used the same tart pastry recipe that I usually use~
It's crispy tart crust made with cold butter and cold water^^
The thing you've got to remember is that be careful not to pour too much water into the pastry, or the pastry will be too sticky to make crispy crust.
Add water just until moist clumps forms for your crispy crust~^^
And I brushed the pastry with egg yolk and sugar to make it crunchy. It will become gold and crunchy if you bake it after glaze the pastry with egg yolk and sugar.
Fruit seller recommended me apricots saying it's sweet and juicy, so I picked it for the tart.
You know what, the apricots I bought from the shop were not sweet at all. It didn't taste anything like water.
TASTELESS!!
Hence, I added lemon juice to give flavor to tasteless apricots. It was reborn as a sweet and sour apricot tart. haha!
This is one of the ways to make tasteless fruit flavorful. Not just for apricots, for any fruit such as strawberries, kiwis, or peaches, just try it~^^
It can be a good summer dessert topped with ice cream ~^^
I am still in the middle of recovering from the flu since last week.
It doesn't seem to get better ㅠㅠ my condition keeps going back and forth.
I went to see a doctor yesterday and got some IV injection.
The doctor said my immunity got lowered so I should take care of myself more.
It's not like old days. I used to get recovered in one or two days from flu.
I feel old now. Take too long to get wellㅠㅠ.

★ Ingredient ★
Filling +
Apricot 6 / Sugar 35g / Flour 15g / Lemon juice ½Sp / Cinnamon powder ½tsp / Vanilla essence 1tsp
Tart dough +
Cake flour 180g / Cold butter 90g / Sugar 30g / Salt 1tsp / Cold water 60g
(+) Yolk & Sugar
Bake in pre-heated 180℃/356℉ oven for 35 minutes.
