Walter Cronkite hosted this educational series where historical events were treated as if a television (and earlier, radio) news crew was there to cover the events. This episode covered the January 10, 1901 oil strike near Beaumont, TX. DeForest Kelley makes another appearance.
The series originally ran on CBS radio from 1947-57, and on CBS television from 1953-57. The TV version saw a revival during the 1971-72 season, again hosted by Cronkite.
