How I processed my Training Contract rejections | Law application process | Magic circle trainee

My name is Nadine and I am a Magic Circle Trainee.

Whilst I have finally reached my goal of obtaining a Training Contract, my journey has been difficult to say the least.

Having embarked on my legal journey in 2011 as a law undergrad student, it was only in January 2021, that I received my Training Contract offer.

Over the course of six application cycles, I received well over 100, if not 200 Vacation Scheme and Training Contract rejections.

Whilst I am not necessarily proud of the amount of time it took me to get here, I am glad that I experienced things as I did. My journey has taught me a lot about patience, determination and resilience. It has tested my confidence, built up my networking skills, and filled within me a drive to help other aspiring solicitors succeed so that they can avoid the type of struggle I went through.

In this video, I have provided some insight into how I stayed motivated despite the rejections I faced. I hope that it helps you to also navigate through your rejections and also provide you with some tips as to how you can avoid receiving rejections over and over and over again!
