From the USA comes a carburetor that promises to revolutionize mixture preparation for 2-strokes. There are big goals that SMART CARB promises can be achieved by using one of their carburetors:
10% increase in power
30% reduction in fuel consumption
50% reduction in exhaust emissions
22,000 feet + altitude compensation

To achieve these goals, the carburetors offer three features in particular that set them apart from other manufacturers' carburetors:
Tuning without jets
Particularly fine atomization
An automatic adjustment to the air pressure

The strengths of these carburetors are in handling, operation on the road or track. Of course, it must be adjusted, but this can be done without additional or with much fewer parts. Only the "rod" has to be changed or can be changed. In our tests, it improved the cold start behavior and throttle response of the engine. The engine runs "smoother" and is easier to control on the throttle. A very big advantage is the automatic adjustment to the pressure conditions. The engine runs the same in the morning in the rain at the sea as it does at noon in the sun in the mountains.

SMART CARB carburetors are adjusted in seconds without tools using a "click" system that adjusts the position of the needle. The adjustment is made without changing the nozzle. In order for this to work on each engine, they are pre-configured. For the carburetors we carry in our program, we have sent SMART CARB specifications of what type of engine the carburetors should work on. In doing so, the configurations can cover quite a wide range and can be pre-configured to fairly generic specifications. They fit all 2-stroke engines and do not require special gasoline.
The carburetors are now only available in the improved SC2 version.



Bottom line: a carburetor innovation that should make fuel injections obsolete.
