Old World Furniture Finish | Paint Layers on Furniture | Textured Chalk Painted Furniture

Описание: let's turn this Queen Anne Console Table into an Old World Grungy Finish. for this look, i used layers of various chalk paints, texture additive, paint washes, raised stencils, clear wax, gold gilding wax, and for the tabletop, i used retique it products. (it's not included in this video)

i bought that table from the marketplace. It was already painted with some chalk paint, but it was not properly prepped, painted, and sealed. the paint came off so easily, just with a wet rag... so i cleaned the paint and then scuffed the whole table. i cleaned again with White lightning (TSP)and rinse it with plain water. first, i made a raised stencil with a joint compound on the drawers front and also glued the resin molds on the table. i primed the raised stencils with the primer before painting, then i used Florence by Annie Sloan Paints as a base, then i mixed Sea Spray texture Additive with Florance to create a texture. then i layered more colors with blending them together for that. i used Lem Lem, Antibes Green, and again Florence, all of them by Annie Sloan Paints. i also used 2 paint washes on it.. first Aubusson Blue with water and second Honfleur with water. and for grungier look, i used Honfleur with a sea sponge on the edges, resin molds, and drawer pulls like dry brushing. then i sealed the whole work with Clear Wax. and highlighted the molds and stencils with the Gold Gilding Wax. i used Retique It for the table top, i'll share the video on that soon...
