Cute, criss cross, long formal hairstyles can be done on straight, curly or on layered hair, but it's easier if it IS curly. Thus, although I used a flat iron to curl my hair, you can use a 1" curling iron or use my Lazy Heatless Curls method to curl yours!

In this, step-by-step, hair tutorial video for beginners, I'm going to show you how to curl your hair with a straightener to create a voluminous, curly half-up half down style. This beautiful updo looks like curls were weaved all around from the top to the bottom of the hair... such a romantic hair style!
