India is moving to be the biggest audience for mass movies from all over the world.
Big budget movies like #mcu #leo #jawan #jailer are movies for ALL. Movies where fans need to watch big screens that can deal with 500-1000 people celebrating big moments in a full screen with good audio, top class projection and the right seating and acoustics.
India had 1000s of such screens and specifically Chennai was full of them in the 80s and 90s especially around Mount Road. And then they started dying despite many of them having great architecture, user experience, patronage because of the change in macro economic factors.
But we need them now, because multiplexes are not for all of India and definitely cant by themselves scale the size and extent to serve what India could grow to.
