The end could be nigh for Mac Nightingale as he has been attacked and left for dead – by his own daughter Ellie! In a gripping week of drama, the identity of who pushed mac has been held back as the show has explored the various events leading up to the incident. Tonight, the truth came to light as Ellie, who has been the one to fiercely defend her dad, even giving him an alibi over the school explosion, discovered the awful truth. As she learned that his affair with Lisa Loveday directly led to the death of her brother Nathan, she headed to confront him – only to find him in the middle of beating up James.


All through James’ childhood and beyond, Mac has subjected him to physical and mental abuse and as Ellie finally realised the true nature of her monstrous father, she lost her cool and pushed him through the window and onto the ground below.



Mac is left lifeless and his attacker now faces the task of covering up her crime – will James and Marnie do all that they can to protect her, having witnessed her uncharacteristic act of violence? And will Mac survive his injuries?

Suspects such as Marnie, James, Sally, Lisa and Hunter had been in the running to be exposed as Mac’s attacker but the reveal that Ellie was the one to bring down the dad she previously idolised seems fitting – especially as it was to defend James.
