The Kpandai Election re-run saga is reaching a critical moment. The Supreme Court is expected to deliver its ruling tomorrow on the High Court decision that annulled the December 7, 2024 parliamentary election results.
Ahead of the ruling, a new Global Info Analytics poll places the NPP’s Matthew Nyindam four percentage points ahead of the NDC’s Daniel Wakpal, with just two weeks to the December 30 parliamentary rerun in the Kpandai constituency.
Matthew Nyindam is challenging the jurisdiction of the Tamale High Court, Commercial Division, which upheld an election petition filed 32 days after the results were gazetted—beyond the constitutionally permitted 21 days. Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission says it is on high alert and fully prepared for the rerun.
