Two Days in Phu Kieow

Описание: Phu Kieow Wildlife Sanctuary is a natural wildlife haven which covers 1,560 square kilometres of what is known as the Western Isaan Complex. Situated in Chaiyaphum province, a good 6 hours drive north of Bangkok, and established 40 years ago by HRH King Bhumibol and HRH Queen Sirikit, the sanctuary is now home to 419 species of birds, 45 species of amphibians, 110 species of reptiles and 111 species of mammals, including leopards, clouded leopards, jungle cats, marbled cats, Asian golden cats and leopard cats; Asian elephants, gaurs, golden jackals dholes (Asiatic wild dogs), Asian black bears, Indochinese serows, Burmese ferret-badgers, yellow-throated martens, small-toothed palm civets, binturongs, and crab-eating mongooses are just some of the many other species living there. I won't begin to name the long list of birds, which includes migrants. Thanks to my wife, we were lucky to secure two nights (and mornings!) at a lodge inside the sanctuary - not always an easy task. That it had no warm water and only had electricity for 3 hours per day was not a problem - it was a real forest palace! It was an amazing few days, and the 50+ hours spent making this video were well worth it. I hope you enjoy it. All comments (critical as well as complimentary) are always welcome :)
