Still looking for a showstopping dessert to serve this Christmas. Look no further. We have a Chuckles trifle. We have a Chuckles cake. And we have... drumroll please, a Cascading Malva Milk Tart cake with a delicious caramel sauce. Sigh.
SERVING INSTRUCTIONS:
For the malva milk tart cake:
1 Place the chilled cascading cake on a serving plate with a lip to contain the sauce (once you pour it over).
2 Run a warmed straight edge knife between the cake and the collar. Pour the sauce from the sachet on top and follow with the cookie pieces.
3 For the big reveal, take hold of the top of the collar with one hand on each side and pull up, allowing the sauce to cascade down the sides of the cake. Dig in!
For the Chuckles Smash Celebrations Cake
1 Smash the chocolate dome, using the back of a large spoon.
2 Using a serrated knife previously warmed in warm water, cut the cake with a gentle sawing motion, cut the cake into 4 big parallel slices.
3 Lay one slice flat on a serving plate and cut into 3 slices – this should get you 12 evenly sized slices. (Serves 10–12)
For the Chuckles trifle
1 Crack the chocolate disk with a metal spoon.
2 Scoop helpings of trifle into shallow bowls and serve. Enjoy!
