Описание: Recorded on 9 August 1968, Take 24 represents the basic track of Mother Nature’s Son, captured before the addition of the brass arrangement and the later percussion overdubs. Although the song had been rehearsed by Paul McCartney as early as 11 June 1968 during the Blackbird sessions, it would not be formally recorded until nearly two months later.

On this take, Paul performs the song essentially solo, recording his vocal and acoustic guitar simultaneously, revealing the composition in its most direct and unembellished form. The performance highlights the song’s British folk character, with the melody and fingerpicking carrying the full emotional weight, free from the dramatic accents heard on the finished master.

During this late-night session (7:30 pm–2 am), The Beatles worked on only two songs: George Harrison’s unreleased “Not Guilty” and McCartney’s Mother Nature’s Son. This basic track offers a clear insight into how the song sounded before it was transformed by orchestration and additional textures, making it a particularly revealing document from the White Album sessions.
