NH16 accident near Tangi: Bus rams parked pickup, 4 injured | Odisha News

Описание: A major road accident was reported near Tangi on National Highway 16, where a passenger bus rammed into an illegally parked pickup vehicle, leaving four people injured.

The incident occurred near Pashupati Gada when the “Chakanayan” bus, travelling from Jajpur towards Bhubaneswar, reportedly lost control, struck the roadside vehicle and then crashed into a tree. Passengers on board were reported safe and were shifted to other vehicles.

The injured were taken to SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Police and officials from the National Highways Authority of India reached the spot, conducted rescue operations and seized the vehicles.

Locals alleged that illegal roadside parking has led to repeated accidents on the stretch, raising concerns over road safety.
