MONTANA COLORS X ART BASEL MIAMI 2016

Описание: It’s that time of the year when one particular city becomes a gallery and its walls a white canvas. Art Basel Miami is an experience worth living at least once. However, after doing so it would be pretty hard to not go back every year. The center of action is indisputably the Wynwood area; an ex-ghetto that was gentrified and then taken over by real estate big wigs for the development of bohemian-style galleries, nice bars and restaurants. During the first week of December, this area turns into a Mecca for Graffiti and Street Artists who can “more or less” freely express themselves after having secured a spot. International artists coming from everywhere, local legends, and even new kids on the block get down and no matter how they do it, almost everybody finds a spot to paint... and after that, it’s party, party and party.
This year we put the cherry on the cake with a pop up MTN Shop & Gallery right on 2nd Ave, the main street in Wynwood. We hosted a solo show by Okuda and offered a complete selection of our products during 14 exciting days. A big thanks goes out to our “Cata-fornian” team at the store, big ups to the family that represented: Asend, Eskae, Harry Bones, Hoacs, Musa, Sear, and Soten, and thanks to everyone for showing up and joining in such a great experience that’s resumed in this clip. Hay un momento del año en el que una ciudad se convierte en galería y sus muros en lienzos. El Art Basel Miami es una experiencia que merece la pena ser vivida al menos una vez, aunque después de ello es difícil no regresar cada año. El centro de la acción es indiscutiblemente la zona de Wynwood, antiguo ghetto que, una vez gentrificado ha sido apropiado por los intereses inmobiliarios para la instalación de galerías, bares bonitos y restaurantes de estilo bohemio.
Es en la primera semana de diciembre cuando la zona se convierte en la Meca para los artista urbanos y escritores de graffiti, quienes "mas o menos" pueden expresarse libremente después de haber conseguido un sitio. Artistas internacionales llegados de todas partes del mundo, leyendas locales o simplemente cualquier chaval del barrio bajan a la calle en donde, sin importar cómo, casi todo el mundo encuentra un lugar para pintar. Y después de esto fiesta, fiesta y más fiesta.
Este año hemos puesto la guinda del pastel con un pop up MTN Shop & gallery, justo en la segunda avenida, la calle principal de Wynwood. Hemos organizado una exposición individual de Okuda y ofrecido una completa selección de productos durante 14 excitantes días. Un enorme gracias a nuestro equipo "cata-forniano" en la tienda, saludos a la familia representada por Asend, Eskae, Harry Bones, Hoacs, Musa, Sear, Soten y gracias a todos los que os acercasteis y compartisteis con nosotros esta gran experiencia que se resume en este clip. ¡Hasta el año que viene, gente!
