Описание: After Beetlejuice’s Rockin’ Graveyard Revue closed in September 1999, Universal Studios Hollywood replaced it with Spider-Man Rocks! Capitalizing on the success of Universal Orlando’s The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, the park quickly produced this stunt show to attract summer crowds. From the very first performance, audiences started leaving, with children complaining about the lack of Spider-Man presence in the show.

Spider-Man Rocks! was a live-stage musical action stunt show that ran at the Castle Theatre on the Upper Lot (Entertainment Center) from 2002 to 2004. A strange blend of modern rock hits and superhero stunts, it was replaced by Fear Factor Live in 2005. This change was partly driven by Universal's sale and the subsequent merger that led to the creation of NBC Universal, sparking a push to bring NBC properties to Universal Parks & Resorts.

The "Taylor" construction sign was named in honor of Michael Taylor, the now former Vice President and General Manager of Universal Studios Hollywood.

Plot:
Peter Parker, a mild-mannered teenager, goes with his classmates to an arachnid research facility. There, he is bitten by one of the facility's 12 "Super-Spiders," seeming to gain spider-like powers and increased strength.

Meanwhile, Parker's classmate Mary Jane Watson is accosted by three criminals. She manages to fight them off briefly, but soon realizes she needs a hero. Luckily, Spider-Man appears, faces off against, and swiftly defeats the criminals.

Over time, Daily Bugle headlines show that New York has accepted Spider-Man as its new hero. Several city citizens perform a medley of songs to celebrate the apparent drop in crime. These celebrations are short-lived, however, as a new masked criminal, the Green Goblin, appears, calling for Spider-Man to "come out to play."

Spider-Man arrives, and the duo battle it out, with Green Goblin using an explosives launcher and Pumpkin Bombs to attack his foe, but he seems unable to hit his target. The battle dissolves to a melee between the two, and Green Goblin seems to get the upper hand, but Mary Jane tries to distract him.

The distraction seems to give Spider-Man enough time to recover, getting back in the action as soon as the Goblin tries to kidnap Mary Jane. Goblin then decides to "cut to the chase", calling for "Death to New York!", and bombing the city.

Spider-Man chases him down, however, and the two face off again, armed with rods of metal debris. As Spider-Man escapes with Mary Jane, the Green Goblin attempts to finish off Spider-Man with a Pumpkin Bomb, but instead dies in an explosion himself.

Finally safe, Mary Jane asks who Spider-Man is. When he tells her that she knows who he is, she realizes he is Peter Parker, and the two share a kiss. The people of New York sing a song honoring their hero, but he swings away when he hears a cry for help.
