http://www.SebastianDiezig.com - Today I recorded No. 2 from Popper's High School Etude Book. This study forces the cellist to play many notes under one bow and do string crossing with a slow bow. At first the etude seemed rather simple but getting decent intonation was not.
The Popper Experience follows in the footsteps of my Piatti Project (2014-2018). At the ripe age of 35 I learn the Popper High School Etudes and record them for my Youtube Channel. I literally have to start from scratch with most all of those etudes because I didn’t work on them before in my life. I therefore expect the Popper Experience to be a long journey of 7-10 years.
