Neoconservatism has forever reshaped American foreign policy and, by extension, much of the world. But where did this strange movement come from, and how did it become so influential? This video will answer these questions by examining the three phases or ‘waves’ of Neoconservatism to understand the history of a movement that began as a collection of former leftists who were critical of 1960s liberalism and morphed into the intellectual force behind the Bush administration's post-9/11 foreign policy. In doing so, this video will demonstrate how the Neoconservative movement degenerated so far from the ideals of its founders that it essentially became the very thing it once sought to destroy.
