Breaking News: SC Guidelines On Bulldozer Justice, No Demolition Without Notice | India Today News
The Supreme Court has issued guidelines on dealing with illegal constructions. The guidelines state that if a house or establishment is found to be illegally built or encroached, the authorities will first decide whether it is encroached or not. The matter will then go to the district collector, who will appoint a nodal officer. An aggrieved person will be issued a notice and given 15 days to defend the defective product. The guidelines also emphasise the importance of the separation of powers.
