Identify and name common items found in different shops (e.g., bakery, supermarket, clothing store).

Use key question and answer patterns for shopping (e.g., "How much is it?", "I would like...").

Understand and use numbers and simple currency (Taka) in a shopping context.

Role-play a simple conversation between a shopkeeper and a customer.

Lesson 1: What's in the Shop?
A. Look, listen and say. (Presentation)

(Pictures of different types of shops are shown)

Teacher: "Let's look at these shops. What do they sell?"

Picture 1: A Bakery

Teacher: "This is a bakery. What can you buy here?"

Students: "Bread, cake, biscuits."

New Words: bakery, bread, cake, biscuit, bun.

Picture 2: A Supermarket

Teacher: "This is a supermarket. It has many things. Name a few."

Students: "Rice, milk, sugar, eggs, oil."

New Words: supermarket, rice, oil, sugar, packet, bottle.

Picture 3: A Clothing Store

Teacher: "This is a clothing store. What do we buy here?"

Students: "Shirt, dress, pants, shoes."

New Words: clothing store, shirt (T-shirt), dress, trousers, cap.
