Everyone likes pastries. Especially these ones. Jastičići are a filled pastry that are extremely soft. There're literally the softest pastries I've ever had. The word translates as soft pillows, and it's an apt name. They're as soft as your pillow.
They're filled which adds another layer to tasting experience. The filling can be either sweet with jam or savory with cheese. The best part is, the filling is there to add to the experience but doesn't make it all about itself.
Ingredients:
500 g/1.1 lbs all-purpose flour
250 g/8.8 oz butter, room temp
200 mL/7.75 floz milk, room temp
2 eggs, 1 room temp
60 g/2.1 oz sugar
Some powdered sugar
1 packet instant yeast
Strawberry jam
Pinch of salt
