Excerpt from a quarter peal of Cambridge on this 6. They go OK but need constant pulling and the oddstruckness makes them hard to get any sort of rhythm going on them. A mix of dates and founders which sound duff on their own but blend together to make a somewhat reasonable sound, aided by a good treble and tenor. Lyneham was well-known for its RAF base, which closed in 2012 and was relocated to Brize Norton, Oxfordshire; Lyneham was also the "gateway" between the UK and Afghanistan and many repatriations of dead personnel took place here.
