Well, I guess I’m still wrestling with that.

This is my story of reconciling who I know GOD to be, against the judgmental, messy, sometimes-toxic and always-difficult culture of CHURCH.

I guess you could say it’s my “deconstruction” story, though sometimes I feel like an imposter even saying that. The thing is, I’ve never questioned God’s existence, but I sure have questioned the specifics of what I believe.

I hope that through my honest experience, I can provide some sense of clarity or encouragement to any of you who are feeling similarly disenfranchised, frustrated or confused about what they believe. I hope it also demonstrates that it IS possible to continue existing in and contributing to a loving church community, even in the questioning process.
