Plug flow reactors are the most commonly used type of reactor in industrial chemical processes. In several of the real world chemical reactors series and parallel reactions occur affecting the production of the desired products. The reactor operating conditions need to be optimized to reduce the side reactions and maximize the yield of the desired products.

The video focuses on analyzing the plug reactor with such multiple reactions and guides you to understand how to identify the appropriate kinetic and thermodynamic parameters for optimizing the real world reactions.
