While there are multiple villians in this serial - this quote applies best for V. Introduced to us as Ram's ex whom he clearly loves & who too seems to have feelings for him despite being married to some1 else.

This sultry, classy beauty with eyes reflecting pain, angst & longing, trapped in a facade of happy marriage which she chose for her want of money & luxury which the guy whom she loved couldn't provide then.

She was initially a grey character whom we had no affection for but who could be tolerated bcz she didn't mean harm to our main leads. Till he decides to get married. The safety net she could see in him breaks, she can no longer call him his entire own if he marries someone else, for whatever reasons. The deteriorating financial condition of her spouse pushing her to the brink now.

In V, hidden behind the mask of smugness, arrogance & overconfidence I see a desperate confused soul who in her heart knows she chose wrong & lost her chance at true love & happy marriage when she chose money over love. But her ego, inflated from having seen the world revolving around her so far forbids her from accepting her defeat at the hands of a woman who was clearly no match for her superficially but could effectively nullify Ram's one sided love for her for 20 yrs within 6 months.

This supposed insult edging her into denial & a psychotic craze to win back her ex, not seeing how by these cheap tactics she is driving away from her not only his love but also his friendship.

The love for good & nice & sweet is inculcated in the majority. But on screen the good can only be seen powerful when contrasted with the evil. For Ram to find Priya desirable, genuine & pure it is necessary that V is the exact opposite - selfish & manipulative. & though it is OTT at times (it truly is, I get annoyed), it is why we crave better RaYa scenes.

So let's enjoy this serial with its good, bad & ugly, bcz all are just playing their character. On the canvas of BALH2, their own role which makes RaYa journey more special.
