Basic Steps:

Number the Chain:

Start numbering from the end closest to the substituent or functional group.
Assign the lowest possible numbers to the substituents.

Name the Substituents:

List substituents alphabetically.
Use prefixes like "di-", "tri-", etc., for multiple identical substituents.
Combine the Parts:

List substituents with their numbers and names, separated by hyphens.
