Even many Christians when asked why did God have to suffer when he died for our sins, struggle to give clear answers. Why couldn't God have just snapped our sins away? Even if he had to die, why did he have to suffer too?
Suffering is at the center of our lives. Many people spend their entire lives avoiding it. Why would God become a man, just to do what most of us do everything in our power to escape?
The answer is this: Suffering and Self-Sacrifice is the core feature of our struggle against evil.
Young Anglican is just a hobby for a theology nerd. I do all of this in my spare time and don't have any relevant degrees in theology or philosophy, but hope that nonetheless my thoughts and knowledge still have a kind of value.
