Water-logging has been reported from several parts of Mumbai and local trains have particularly taken a hit with both Western and Central Railways suspending operations between major sections on their respective lines. The situation in Mumbai could likely worsen with the weather office predicting more rain for the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'red alert' and predicted very heavy rainfall in the city and its neighbouring areas in next 24 hours.
