Unprecedented scenes have been witnessed in the busy GS Road of Guwahati.
Protesters in large numbers, mostly college students of the city have taken to the streets in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill.
Chaotic scenes were witnessed in Guwahati roads as police resorted to tear gas shelling and baton charge to disperse the protesters.
Multiple rallies were taken out from different parts of the city and almost all converged and subsequently pass through the GS Road area, bringing traffic to a near standstill for most part of the day so far.
