Lasted 71 moves in the Endgame (my best so far). Achieved on January 31st 2026. I often got close to checkmating level 9 (often by sacrificing pieces in order to force a close checkmate situation) but it seemed the Computer had pre-calculated (foreseen the future) that it wouldn't be enough for the checkmate and turned it around and checkmated me instead.
The Chess Club app Computer has 10 difficulty levels:
Level 1 - BEGINNER
Level 2 - EASY
Level 3 - MIDDLE
Level 4 - HARD
Level 5 - ADVANCED
Level 6 - EXPERT
Level 7 - CANDIDATE (Candidate Master/CM)
Level 8 - MASTER
Level 9 - GRAND MASTER
Level 10 - CHAMPION LEVEL
On the chess club app the player has to win vs. the current level in order to unlock (and be able to play against) the next level. I beat levels 1 to 4 at first try (even "HARD" was pretty easy). From Level 5 upwards it gets more challenging. I lost 2 times vs. level 5, level 6 and level 8 each. However i even beat level 7 at first try. In my opinion the chess club computer level 1 to 8 is a joke compared to chess.com's Komodo bots. However, chess club's last 2 levels (levels 9 and 10) are extremely strong! I haven't played level 10 - CHAMPION yet because I'd need to beat level 9 - GRAND MASTER first in order to unlock level 10. However I've lost about 25 times vs. level 9 - GRAND MASTER so far. The gap between level 8 - MASTER and level 9 - GRAND MASTER is HUGE! Level 9 - GRAND MASTER is extremely tough! I would say level 9 - Grand Master is maybe about as strong as chess.com's engine 18 or 20 at their maximum capacity (maybe even as strong as engine 21 or 22).
