Описание: This video, shot at Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School in Bronx, NY provides a window into the oral defense component of one student's performance-based assessment task (PBAT) in social studies, a requirement for her graduation. In addition to documenting portions of the student's presentation and the discussion with her evaluators afterwards, the video features interviews with the student, her teacher, and the external evaluators. In an epilogue, filmed one year after the original footage--that is, after the student had completed her first year of college--the student reflects on how the Consortium Schools' emphasis on research, collaboration, and inquiry prepared her for higher education.
