1/10th Tamiya TT02 GT Racing @NHRCCC, Round 6 of the 2021 Championship Season

Описание: Welcome to Round 6 of the highly FUN Tamiya TT-02 Championship here at the sunny North Shore of Auckland. Possibly the wettest place in Auckland today, we had a few false starts as the track layout needed to be moved to avoid the rain coming in from the northern end. Thankfully - due to the amazing work of the NHRCCC Committee, we have a covered venue; so the racing continues here today!
With a solid line up we have an A Final followed by the B Final. In reality the B Final was raced first, but for the presentation we'll play back the A Final first - so hang around and watch some fresh talent in the B Final as this class grows.

This is a great spec racing class - setups are fixed, although you can add dampers to the car, which is a great setup change. Things like caster, camber and toe are all set to 0. So the look like poor drivers, but really, these cars don't track as nicely as a full blown $1000 carbon weapon. But that's kinds the point of this class, keeping it interesting, challenging - but also a learning experience.

The cars run the Torque Tuned brushed motor that comes with the kit, and this is a GT class, so body shells from Gt3, GT4, GT500 & GT300 are the usual must-have. A few Tamiya Hop-up parts are allowed, but they are limited to keep costs down, and fun up.

We also saw the TT02 Ferrari 458 on track, and Bad Time Racing is a bit jealous of that body shell, what a beauty. Can't not mention the 2JZ weaponised Supra ~!
