Описание: This journey to Gabin Jabba, Swat started on my bike from Shangla Top. From Shangla Top, we travelled towards Khwazakhela and then towards Kalakot, from where the route to Gabin Jabba begins. This was not just a normal road trip — it turned into a real mountain adventure because of the weather, rain and difficult road conditions.

Gabin Jabba is one of the most beautiful and less-explored destinations in Swat Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is located at an elevation of around 2,582 meters (8,471 feet) above sea level. The name Gabin Jabba means “Honey Marshes”, and the area is known for its beautiful green meadows, thick forests, medicinal plants, wild honey, mineral springs and spectacular mountain scenery.

When we reached the parking area of Gabin Jabba, we stopped for some time to let our bike cool down. From there, the upper section can be reached by a 4x4 jeep, on foot, and depending on the road conditions, by bike as well.

But then the weather suddenly changed.

Heavy rain started, and the road became extremely difficult. We even saw a vehicle going towards the upper side fall on the road, which blocked the route. Because evening was approaching, we decided not to take unnecessary risks and went back to a hotel around two kilometres away from the parking area. We spent the night there and came back to Gabin Jabba early the next morning.

The local people repeatedly advised us not to take the bike up because the road had become dangerous after the rain. So we decided to park the bike and continue our journey on foot.

The parking fee was 100 PKR for our bike, while the parking ticket for a car was 200 PKR. From the parking area, we started hiking towards Gabin Jabba. It took us around 30–40 minutes to reach the upper meadows, depending on the pace and conditions of the trail.

And honestly, Gabin Jabba was worth the effort.

The green meadows of Gabin Jabba are incredibly beautiful, peaceful and refreshing. The upper section is especially worth exploring, and I would definitely recommend hiking a little further instead of only spending time at the lower area.

Gabin Jabba is also connected with trekking routes towards Daral Lake, one of the famous high-altitude lakes of Swat Valley. The trek beyond Gabin Jabba takes you towards much higher mountain terrain, alpine landscapes and beautiful remote areas of Swat.

Unfortunately, our luck with the weather was not perfect. As soon as we reached the top of Gabin Jabba, clouds started coming in. We waited for quite some time hoping that the clouds would clear so we could see the panoramic mountain views, but they stayed around the mountains.

Still, the weather itself was an experience.

The cold air, clouds, rain, green meadows and mountains made Gabin Jabba feel completely different from the usual tourist spots of Swat. Sometimes the journey becomes more memorable because things don't go exactly according to plan.

If you are planning to visit Gabin Jabba, I would definitely recommend giving yourself enough time to explore not only the lower meadows but also the upper side. Check the weather and road conditions before going, especially during the rainy season, because the jeep track can become difficult and slippery after heavy rain.

Gabin Jabba is a perfect destination for people who love motorcycles, road trips, hiking, camping, mountains, photography and peaceful places away from crowded tourist destinations.
