The Tata Nexon EV is set to become one of India’s most affordable electric SUVs. It draws power from a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery and has a claimed range of 312km as per ARAI. It has an electric motor that drives the front wheels through a single speed gearbox and produces 129PS & 245Nm of torque. The Nexon EV’s 0-100kmph speed is 9.9 seconds. It is offered with both AC slow charging (8 hours for 20 per cent to 100 per cent charge) and DC fast charging (1 hour for 0-80 per cent charge).

The Nexon EV gets features like a touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC with rear AC vents, halogen projector headlights, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster and connected car tech operated via the ZConnect app. As standard, the Nexon EV comes equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX. It will be entered for the Global NCAP crash tests and by Tata’s analysis is expected to score 5 stars like the standard Tata Nexon.
