Illinois Central 2707 is seen here leading CN Z148 past the double track at Speyside in approach to Stewarttown. The reason why this dash 9 is popular is because of its K5LA horn that you almost never hear on CN. It is one of only 4 engines that have a K5LA horn on CN’s roster of GE locomotives. This train waited for 2 eastbounds and 1 westbound to clear before finally getting past Ash.
