How to connect your domain to Shopify through a CNAME record.

For example:

My primary domain is:

zermelomusic.com

But that already has a website attached...

So I want to create a subdomain and direct that subdomain to Shopify. That subdomain is...

shop.zermelomusic.com

To do this, I need to create a CNAME record with my domain provider. In my case, that's A2 hosting.

So in A2, I need to create a CNAME record with zermelomusic.com and I need to add to following:

(1) A valid zone name. For me that is "shop" (my subdomain name)

(2) I need to select what record I want to create. For me that's a CNAME record

(3) I need to point that CNAME record to Shopify.

Once I save and complete those steps, I then need to verify that domain on Shopify.

It can take a few hours. So don't freak out if you get an error message after going through these steps.
