Fire mountains
Yanar Dag (Burning Mountain) is a natural, never-extinguishing fire that has burned for thousands of years on a hillside in the Absheron Peninsula near Baku, Azerbaijan. Fueled by natural gas seeping through porous sandstone, the 3-meter flames burn continuously, even in rain or snow. It is a major cultural and tourist site in the "Land of Fire".
Mud Volcano
350 of the world’s 700+ mud volcanoes, making it the premier global destination for this surreal, cold-eruption phenomenon. Located mainly near Gobustan, these active, gray-mud mounds form from tectonic activity forcing gas and mud to the surface, creating a unique, moon-like landscape often used for therapeutic, mineral-rich mud baths
Gobustan
Gobustan, Azerbaijan, is a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient petroglyphs (rock carvings) dating back over 12,000 years, depicting prehistoric life, alongside unique mud volcanoes and gas stones, offering a rich blend of natural wonders and deep cultural history near the Caspian Sea
