Portal 2 References in The Perpetual Testing Initiative

Описание: Here’s all of the Half Life and Portal references I could find throughout the Perpetual Testing Initiative voice lines.

There are various “Welcome to Aperture” speeches that were inspired by the original in the main Portal 2 timeline.

The voice line referencing Aliens in the Perpetual Testing Initiative references also calls back to Cave introducing Caroline in Portal 2.

The Blapperture Science voice lines reference the struggles that Portal 2 Cave faced in the 1970’s portion of the game when competing with Black Mesa. Of course this is also a Half Life reference.

In the Perpetual Testing Initiative there is a whole storyline where Cave becomes a super computer like GlaDos. This audio bleeds into the Prime timeline which convinces Cave Prime to never make GlaDos. This is the complete opposite of what happens in the main game lol.

There is a universe where Cave and Doug Rattman swap places. Probably to show that Aperture would be in better hands with Doug tbh.

The final reference is the “Sentient Cloud”, it’s actually a reference to cut Half Life 2 content. “Particle Storms” would have been introduced as entities that could tear apart basically anything but were cut for some reason.
