Описание: Hey everyone, today we are doing something important here on The Joy Reid Show channel. We are sharing a simulcast of the Mass People’s Assembly and Moral March and Mobilization on Raleigh organized by Repairers of the Breach and the Poor People’s Movement.

This gathering brings together poor and low wage people from across North Carolina for a four day Moral March from Wilson to Raleigh and a major mobilization at the Capitol. The focus is clear. Protect voting rights. Challenge the new congressional map passed by the North Carolina General Assembly. Defend the political power of Black, Latino, and low income communities whose voices were weakened by the redistricting of the 1st Congressional District.

The assembly begins at Shaw University and continues with a march to the Capitol, followed by a formal program lifting up faith leaders, organizers, and impacted residents.

We are honored to share this moment with you. Stay with us as we amplify the voices leading this movement and fighting for moral, political, and economic justice.

ABOUT JOY REID:
Joy-Ann Lomena Reid (AKA Joy Reid) is a best-selling American author, political journalist and TV host. She was a national correspondent for MSNBC and is best known for hosting the Emmy-nominated, NAACP Award-winning political commentary and analysis show, The ReidOut, from 2020 to 2025.
