Karin is a former winner of the SA singing reality TV show, Idols, and hails from Grabouw in the Western Cape. After winning the third season of Idols, Karin released her debut album in November 2006, entitled Forever and The Day. The album received positive reviews from critics and exceeded sales - reaching Gold Status in South Africa selling just over 20 000 copies.
