Rice Train Reaches Mizoram | Major Boost to Food Security |

Описание: Mizoram marked an important milestone as a goods train carrying 25,901 quintals of rice in 42 wagons arrived at Sairang railway station. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister B. Lalchhanzua welcomed the train and described the development as a major step toward strengthening food supply in the state.
The rice stocks will now be transported from Sairang to FCI godowns located in Aizawl, Lunglei, and Lawngtlai. Meanwhile, supplies meant for the northern districts will continue arriving through Bairabi railway station.The minister emphasized that transporting rice by rail will improve logistics efficiency and help ensure stronger food security for Mizoram, especially with the monsoon season approaching.
