Presnitz is a typical winter cake of Friuli Venezia Giulia, made with flaky pastry rolled round a filling of nuts, walnuts, pine nuts, figs, plums, apricots, raisins, grated chocolate... it's the perfect cake for Christmas Time! Once upon a time, a baker of Trieste invented this wonderful cake in honor of Princess Sissi...maybe Princess = Presnitz!
