We spent New Year’s Day exploring some of Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic views 🇧🇷 before ending the afternoon with sunset and altinha by the water.
We visit Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar), taking the cable car up via Urca (Morro da Urca) for panoramic views over Rio and Guanabara Bay. We bought the express ticket for Sugarloaf and would definitely recommend it to skip the queues. Tickets were purchased via the official site: https://www.bondinho.com.br
Later, we finish the day playing altinha at sunset — a classic Brazilian beach tradition — soaking up the atmosphere on January 1st in Rio.
