The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has demanded a detailed investigation against M Sivasankar in the Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case. In a charge sheet filed by the ED, it stated that Sivasankar is involved in financial transactions of the accused in the gold smuggling case, Swapna Suresh.
According to reports, the ED received messages shared by M Sivasankar and the chartered accountant of Swapna. The report added that Sivasankar said that he does not remember if he typed these messages or forwarded someone else's message.
