Water's Edge Campground is located just outside of Gros Morne National Park. Located in the western half, this is the perfect place to stay to visit popular trails like Tablelands and Green Gardens.
The campground is located right along the waters edge - as the name suggests. This campground is primarily designed for those in RV's, although we stayed here in a tent.
Being along the water, we did find the wind to be a bit gusty at times, but the views were 100% worth it.
The washrooms were nice and well taken care of. There were only 2 bathrooms and 2 showers, but with a campground only holding about 10 bookings, we never had any issues with having to wait.
In additional to camping at Water's Edge Campground, you can also rent one of several small cabins. We saw at least 1 couple rent them during our stay and they seemed to enjoy them.
Water's Edge Campground is a great option for those looking for a powered site just outside the park. Parks Canada didn't have any campgrounds WITH POWER on this side of the park, so for us, it made sense to stay here.
