4. Fr Cesar | The Seed of the Divine Will — From Suffering to Abandonment in Christ

In this profound and grace-filled cenacle, we welcome the Rogationist priest Fr. Cesar, who shares his personal testimony of discovering the Divine Will, his vocational journey inspired by Luisa Piccarreta and St. Hannibal di Francia, and a deep reflection on suffering, the Cross, and abandonment to God.

This talk centres on living in the Divine Will in everyday life, especially when facing suffering, loss, and the mystery of the Cross. We explore the interior journey from resignation to true abandonment, where the human “I” gradually disappears so that Christ may live, act, and suffer in us.

Fr. Cesar explains that living in the Divine Will means allowing the seed of God’s Will to be sown in every act, from the smallest daily choices to the most painful experiences. Drawing particularly from Volume 12 of the Book of Heaven, he shows how this interior disposition allows the soul to move beyond merely seeing miracles, to truly understanding the Resurrection and the Ascension.

The conference then turns to the mystery of suffering. Fr. Cesar teaches that suffering cannot be understood through theory alone—not even through spiritual knowledge. It requires revealed truth, faith, and above all, a personal intimacy with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Only in this relationship can we embrace the Cross not with mere resignation, but with loving abandonment, allowing Christ Himself to take our place.

Inspired by the example of St. Hannibal di Francia, proclaimed by Jesus as the first apostle of the Divine Will, Fr. Cesar shows how this path forms true apostles—souls who live no longer for themselves, but entirely for God. Furthermore, when Fr. Cesar blessed us in the name of his religious father, St. Hannibal, many of us sensed the living presence of the “Apostle of the Divine Will” among us, as dear Margaret so beautifully noted.
