Описание:
Enterococcus gallinarum is a species of enterococci that can occasionally be a uropathogen, causing urinary tract infections (UTIs). When grown on CLED (Cysteine Lactose Electrolyte Deficient) agar, which is commonly used for the isolation and differentiation of urinary pathogens, Enterococcus gallinarum typically presents the following characteristics:
Colony Appearance: Small, smooth, and round colonies that are usually grayish in color. They may appear slightly translucent.
Lactose Fermentation: Enterococcus gallinarum ferment lactose, so colonies do not produce a color change on the CLED agar. They remain colorful or pink-colored.
Key Points:
Colony Size and Shape: Small, round, smooth colonies.
Color: Generally pink, may appear slightly translucent.
Lactose Fermentation: Lactose fermenting, colonies pink colored on CLED agar.
