Today on The Curiosity Desk: Jennifer Shahade is a three-time national chess champion, and author of the upcoming book “Thinking Sideways.” She joins ahead of an exhibition match at MIT to explain her mindset and approach to the game; Mikaela Gerwing is a wildlife conservation biologist, here to explain the monkey social dynamics at play with Punch the baby macaque and other macaques at the Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan. Oriana Aragon is an Assistant Professor Department of Marketing at the University of Cincinnati, who’s done research into “cute aggression.” She’ll talk about the human response to cute monkeys like Punch.
