A lot of people ask me how do I lift and have so much speed and power? Doesn't lifting make you slower? Those are the questions I'm constantly asked. ☑️THE ANSWER IS: if you are not lifting properly due to your goals then yes lifting can make you slower.
☑️ The weight doesn't have to be heavy in order to build speed.
☑️ if you are a combat athlete I would only do a heavy lifting day maybe once or twice a week. ☑️ I try to avoid muscle strain exercises like a loaded benchpress and taking the reps until failure is the type of exercising that will make you stiff and slow.
☑️ I keep lighter weight on the bar so that I can move it freely and effortlessly while working on building fast muscle switches and fibers which is ultimately what's going to make you faster and stronger.
☑️ It's also works and vice versa if you're looking to get bigger and stronger than popping the bar the way I do in the video will not help grow your muscles because the Time under tension is not enough to start tearing into your muscle fibers. 🐍 This is the stuff that works for me you guys ask so I'm showing you and telling you what I do feel free to criticize all you want but this is what works for me.
